Beach 2 Bush

Karibu

Welcome to beach2bush photographic safaris. All our safaris are made for individual groups. This means that we do not mix people whom do not know each other at all.  We offer 4 fixed departure safaris per year as per the below dates.  Each photographer gets his/her window seat and ample room in the vehicle for camera bags, lenses and tripods. We provide the sand bags. Apart from that we have cold water in the vehicle and plenty of books for looking up birds, plants and wildlife. The safaris are all led by Alexander Rostocil himself and his team of specialised guides depending on the number of clients in the group. They will know how to position the vehicles for you to get the best possible shots.

The safari begins and you will be collected at 7.30 a.m. after you have had a big breakfast. Please be ready and packed as we have to leave by then. We will leave the hustle and bustle of Nairobi and will drive in a South Eastern direction towards the Majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro and Amboseli national park getting there in time for Lunch. On the way we will have plenty of photographic opportunity especially with the Maasai people. We will stop in an authentic Maasai Village where you will be allowed to shoot as much as you want for a small fee of roughly 20usd per person. This is customary as the Maasai need some source of income to be able to pay for their children health bills if necessary, medicine for their cattle and so on. We will also get an opportunity to witness the bleeding of a cow and the drinking of the blood ceremony. Lunch will be had at the Lodge followed by an afternoon siesta or relax by the pool till about 16.00 hrs when we will meet for tea and coffee and depart for an afternoon game drive. Our main mission in Amboseli will be getting that perfect picture with an Elephant heard in front of the Mountain. None the less there is any photographic opportunities. We will return to the lodge before it gets dark. Dinner will be had and a few drinks around the bar or camp fire exchanging stories about our days adventure. We will be staying at the Amboseli Serena Lodge.

This in itself is also very interesting and will allow for many interesting photos to be taken.  We will arrive to our lodge in time for lunch. After lunch a siesta or relax by the pool will be in order. Once again we will meet for tea at 16.00 hrs and after will depart for our game drive. We will again return to the lodge before it is dark. An evening meal followed by drinks at the bar overlooking a water hole will be had. Overnight will be had at the Kilaguni Serena Lodge.

You will be transferred to the Wilson Airport for your internal flight to the Mara. Once you land you will be taken to your camp. This will be your home for the next week. The camp will be chosen closer to the time depending on where the majority of the carnivores are. Not to worry it will be amazing and more than comfortable for you. Game drives will be longer in the Mara as sometimes we will have to drive further depending on what we hear from others by radio. The guides we will be using are based in the Mara the whole year hence will know where the best place to locate the carnivores is. All our meals will be had at camp and sometimes depending on what we see might also be brought out to our vehicles. Every day we will carry our breakfast with us and have it in the bush. This will allow us to spend more time in the wild which in return means more time for photography.

After breakfast we will slowly drive towards the Airstrip for our flights back to Nairobi. We will have our final lunch and bid our farewells.  For those who will have flights that same evening will get a day room and for those who have flights the next morning will have an overnight room.
